Inspiration

Lack of proper/regular sanitization in public places

How we built it

We made use of the Open CV python library(Open Computer Vision Library) to run the violla jones face detection algorithm on a series of images to check if social distancing is being followed and whether sanitization is required.

Challenges we ran into

It was especially difficult to download and import the Open CV library into the program. We tried our best to make the program user friendly

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Writing a program which(to some extent ) can detect faces in a good quality photo.

What we learned

We went through the documentation for each open cv function we made us of to make the best possible face detecting program

What's next for Covi-Cam

Make it more user friendly Try to improve the method we use to score/determine how safe an image is
