Inspiration

This project was inspired by the fact that every time I tried to apply for a job and the job application required the submission of a cover letter, I felt unmotivated to continue and instead closed the application. So I decided to use AWS Partyrock to build an app specifically tailored towards generating cover letters.

What it does

Coverly is a cover letter generator app powered by AWS PartyRock Generative AI that helps you generate cover letters based on the job description input. No more stressing out about how to structure your cover letter. Get job applications done quickly and easily by saving time on writing your cover letter from scratch.

How I built it

Building my app was a breeze with the AWS PartyRock platform. I logged in, entered the prompt for my app idea, and clicked 'generate app.' After that, I conducted thorough testing to ensure it functioned as expected. Additionally, I asked my friends to try it out and gather their feedback.

Challenges I ran into

I would not say I ran into any form of challenge when building this app, it was pretty straightforward.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am proud of the fact that my project functions exactly as I envisioned it to. Seeing it generate cover letters that suit the user inputs makes me so happy. I have tested the usage with two job applications and loved the output.

What I learned

I enjoyed the process of learning how to use the AWS PartyRock generative AI tool to build cool app ideas with ease. This experience not only expanded my knowledge but also ignited my passion for exploring innovative technologies to solve real-world problems.

What's next for Coverly?

For now, I like the way the app is simple to use and pretty straightforward.
