!cov Bot

Inspiration

There's a lot of misinformation surrounding COVID, and getting reliable up-to-date information is a challenge.

What it does

!cov Bot connects a variety of APIs to users' fingertips, allowing them to quickly and easily get information about the state of the pandemic.

How we built it

The work was divided into parts and each team member was given a part, with all of us helping each other out when needed. Then, we combined the parts together on repl.it and continued working on it until the bot was finished.

Challenges we ran into

• Understanding of some of the new concepts took a while
• The APIs we worked with are a bit finnicky to set up a program with

Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

We all learned a lot more about the specific technologies used, like Node.js, APIs, and Discord.js.

What's next for !cov Bot

If it does well, we might invest in permanent hosting, maintenance, and added features.
