The legal services industry handles many different types of clients, from parties, to court personnel, to investigators and document handlers. For all the data and contacts that are exchanged between these different entities, much of the activity is still running the old fashioned way. This app is nothing special, it is just an adaptor between the San Francisco Superior Court's database and an out of the box Salesforce.com system. It explores the concept that the legal services industry can and should be connected to the API world.
This app simply takes a case number and fills out accounts, contacts, events and notes in Salesforce, creating an account from the Court Case.
Extensions of the concept are many and varied, from handling documents, parsing out tasks, scheduling important deadlines and court appearances, to notifying clients based on the activities of other parties.
