Inspiration
Many of us have played sports or activities involving the reservation or queuing of courts
What it does
It provides a convenient way to organize and queue courts with multiple players.
How we built it
We used java to program the base code for the application. We, then embedded the program as a Java Applet into an HTML file, which allows the program to be run from a website.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into several challenges in designing the program within Java. Our experience with the program was limited so we had to learn how to use different Java APIs along the way to help us achieve our final product.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to say that we made a working web application that runs a Java applet.
What we learned
We learned how to use many existing Java APIs that allowed us to make our program. We also learned how to embed our Java application into HTML for use in a website.
What's next for Court Organizer
Our project could be easily adapted to other scenarios. These could include use at restaurants to reserve tables or to organize teams for events like the Hackathon we are participating in currently.
