Inspiration

We were inspired by our own struggles with a succinct registration. We wanted to create something that students would find useful.

What it does

Our website suggests class schedules given class needs and time preferences. It also compiles relevant information for each schedule to summarize various factors that might impact quality of schedule.

How we built it

We built this using VSCode, Streamlit, MongoDB, Google Gemini AI, Excel, GeoPy, and Goodnotes.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into difficulties integrating various features, compiling easily usable datasets, and generating the calendar to make the schedules easily visible. Overcoming these challenges required time, effort, and some outside-the-box thinking.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our tenacity in striving to incorporate a wide array of features while staying true to our original purpose. We created something practical that we know will save students time and energy.

What we learned

We learned about the products of various sponsors, such as Auth0 or Streamlit, and how to leverage them to create a better website. We also learned about the importance of a strong team, as having members willing to learn something new and put in the effort has resulted in a service that we are proud of.

What's next for CourseLITE

We plan to incorporate more filters to help make our site more practical. In the longer run, we would also love to make this applicable to more universities in hopes to help a wider variety of students.
