Inspiration
Campus instructions can be long or difficult to turn into a clear next step. CourseFlow explores whether a student can get from an official instruction to a practical checklist without losing sight of the source.
What it does
CourseFlow is designed around one verified public campus document and one procedure. A student asks a question, sees the relevant source passage and link, and gets a checklist based only on that source. Checklist progress is saved in the browser. If the source does not support an answer, CourseFlow says it could not verify it instead of guessing.
How it works
CourseFlow is an Alexa+-style web simulation for the hackathon. It is not connected to Alexa+ preview services or an official college system. The local-first MVP uses a curated policy file, transparent question matching, and browser storage for checklist progress—without a paid AI API or cloud backend.
Design choices
We kept the scope focused on one source and one student task. The citation stays visible beside the checklist, and the app is designed to avoid inventing rules, deadlines, or eligibility requirements.
What’s next
The next step is to test the flow with students and verify that the selected source is useful and current. Future work could add more sources or an MCP-powered extension if testing shows it would help.
