Inspiration

How our mental health matters to us and how we can take care of our health with the help of our gadgets.

What it does

A chatbot that allows you to ask and answer questions about mental health, populated with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) data about mental health. The AI bot determines your health rating based on your interactions with your mobile phone. The result includes a rating and AI-generated recommendations.

How we built it

We built the frontend using Vite, React, Tailwind, and TypeScript. The backend is powered by Django Rest Framework with Python. The AI leverages OpenAI and utilizes RAG from Langchain for both AI recommendations and the chatbot. The data we use comes from Kaggle.

Challenges we ran into

One of the challenges we faced was efficiently utilizing RAG.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to successfully integrate RAG with the data, though the performance is slower when integrated with the web server.

What we learned

We learned a great deal about RAG and how to work with data in this context.

What's next for WellBell

Our next step is to make the system faster.
