Inspiration

Although we had numerous sources of inspiration, the primary one was the current mental health epidemic in our generation due to the high amounts of stress, depression, etc. In hopes of solving these issues, our group decided to create a website directing low-income families improve their mental health.

What it does

Our website directs users to different databases and/or websites to gather information on careers that they may pursue. In addition with the databases, we created a chatbot in hopes of providing comfort to those in need with further development.

How we built it

Using html, our group designed a website within repl.it.

Challenges we ran into

Firstly, as introductory hackathons participants and programmers, we struggled to find a coding platform and navigating through complex platforms such as Visual Studio Code and GitHub. Importing the AI database was difficult for our group as we did not have the technical experience or knowledge to complete what we wanted. Also, we struggled with time management and decision-making.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of completing our first Hackathon, learning to operate as a team, stepping out of our comfort zone, and building our first website from scratch.

What we learned

We learned what it takes to create a website as we utilized coding basics with some complex material. Some of the teammates also learned lots about HTML, its uses, and the syntax that goes with it.
