Inspiration

Tetris Effect couch co-op together with my girlfriend.

What it does

This is a P2P multiplayer sliding puzzle game with support for up to 8 players. Best experienced on a TV from the comfort of your sofa. You scan a QR-code to use your phone as a controller.

How we built it

I used a JavaScript library called GUN for P2P communication. All other stuff is basic BLOC and Flutter.

Challenges we ran into

Understanding how to best handle JS interop with GUN together with BLOC was not easy.

It works!

What we learned

I have never used BLOC before. Neither GUN, so I learned a lot.

What's next for CouchPuzzler

Build a more exciting puzzle than just numbers. I had an idea to use emojis, but didn't have time to implement it unfortunately.
