Inspiration

With so many possibilities unlocked by AI and the rapid prototyping power of Bolt.new, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start. The best way to move forward is to break down tasks, focus, and tackle them one at a time. FocusBites was built to support that mindset.

While traditional Pomodoro timers and to-do list apps can boost productivity, they often feel sterile or impersonal. We wanted to change that. FocusBites combines habit-building with the emotional satisfaction of nurturing and evolving a virtual companion — transforming focus sessions into a fun, gamified experience.

What it does

-Pomodoro timer with 25-minute work sessions and 5-minute breaks -Interactive avatar that asks what you want to accomplish and evolves with progress -Task management with completion tracking -Avatar evolution system based on completed tasks

How we built it

I try to join One-Shot Competition, so I try to create the clear prompt what is the purpose of the app, the theme, the main feature and additional feature. I only use bolt.new for this, and the result is already satisfying

Challenges we ran into

how to create single prompt that details but not too complex, since if we use too much information some of the web will have error

Accomplishments that we're proud of

single prompt, already create product that ready to release

What we learned

-No need to be precise bolt.new it will create greate web/app even by vague request -How to use Bolt.new efficiently

  • the code structure already great
  • navigation between file dependency still need improvement

What's next for costr

Add social features (compare nests/pets with friends) More character based on focus types (e.g., study, work, rest) Mobile app version Real-time feedback via AI assistant Revenue model: cosmetic upgrades via in-app purchases or subscriptions
