Observing the effects of climate change—from increased temperatures to extreme weather—serves as an urgent call to take creative and decisive action.

What it does

Interactive tool to visualise the growing cost of reducing fossil fuel consumption.

How did we do it

We created a function to estimate the cost of slowing down global warming by finding a relation between fossil fuel consumption and historical weather data.

What did we learn

While developing this app, we learned much about the complex network of interrelated causes of global warming. Our investigation of the data and visualisations revealed the relationship between human activities and their environmental effects.

We discovered that, far from being a theoretical threat, global warming is an urgent reality that genuinely impacts economies, people, and ecosystems worldwide. We became aware of the ability of technology to promote significant change in the battle against climate change and to increase public awareness through this coding project.

What's next for the Cost of climate change

We are dedicated to using the app and more extensive advocacy campaigns to make a dent in the battle against climate change. We're prepared to take on the difficulties ahead and create a brighter future for all if we work together and with commitment.
