Inspiration

We were inspired by Decentraland and LOOT Project. We wanted to create Decentralized Virtual World which is completely run by the Community.

What it does

A Community Driven Metaverse, utilizing the on chain Data to create assets inside the Metaverse. We are combining LOOT and Decentraland in a unique way and eliminating their flaws i.e. Problems of Identity Verification in Decentraland and the way randomness is used in LOOT project to create a Decentralized Platform. We are using Chain Link to solve both these problems, by using Chain Link VRF we can make each minting of items truly random in LOOT Project and provide reputation to characters after verifying the address of the character using off chain data.

⛏ ##How we built it. We thought of creating a decentralized platform, some of us got together and exchanged our ideas with each other over the topics we already knew. We then assembled a team consisting of UI/UX designer, Blockchain developers and game developers. We started our work with Ethereum, and then went onto Binance Smart Chain. We are now shifting to Polygon because it is difficult to meet the gas fees of NFTs. Also, we are working on implementing Loot project in Cosmo Infinitas

Challenges we ran into

Since Blockchain has not yet become mainstream and its a relatively newer Technology, it was difficult to gather resources and utilize them to our advantage. It is challenging for us to find assets for the Unity Development and also to integrate them with Blockchain as NFTs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is the only project of ours that has been properly launched. We had participated in Mars Asia Hackathon and Mercury Asia Hackathon and although our project was not ready by that time, we did learn a lot. We have also been selected for SWOC.

What we learned

We learnt a lot about Web-dev using Next JS and how to programme using Solidity, Hardhat and all the dev tools. After spending time in developing LOOT project we learned how to mint NFT using Etherscan.

What's next for Cosmo Infinitas

After implementing Blockchain and Loot project in games, we will be focusing on other important aspects like marketing and attracting customers. And as mentioned earlier, we are also trying to reduce gas fees.
