Inspiration
As people's lives get more and more busy, it is easy for them to let life pass by them, so we wanted to create something that helps people feel more connected with their inner self by writing down their thoughts and feelings to freely express themselves and remember the day.
What it does
Cosmic Diary is a personal journaling website that allows you to plan your daily schedule, track your mood, and capture your day through photos. It makes logging your day easy and exciting.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as Media Capture and Streams API.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge that we faced was coming up with an idea that we were both truly enthusiastic about, but in the end, we landed on Cosmic Diary.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're extremely proud of how the final website came together technically and visually.
What we learned
This project taught us a lot about how websites actually work. We learned how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together to build an interactive site and how to use the Media Capture and Streams API to access and use the camera.
What's next for Cosmic Diary
We would like to add more features, like a music player and more journal prompts, as well as refine the GUI.
