Expanded Insight into Inspiration
The Tron blockchain presents a unique and versatile infrastructure that is conducive to supporting various types of transactional models. Notably, Tron has integrated compatibility with both Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) and the account model. Such a combination of transactional mechanisms effectively positions Tron as an ideal candidate for augmenting Bitcoin's capabilities, particularly when considering the development of Layer 2 (L2) solutions.
However, despite the potential for such interoperable functionality, there is a notable gap in the current cryptocurrency landscape - the absence of a dedicated bridge between Bitcoin and Tron. A bridge, in the context of blockchain technology, is a connection that allows for the transfer of assets and data between two distinct blockchain networks. The creation of a Bitcoin-Tron bridge would, hence, facilitate a smoother and more efficient interaction between the Bitcoin network and Tron-based applications, opening up possibilities for enhanced liquidity, diverse financial instruments, and broader blockchain adoption.
What it does
We built a bridge that connect the Bitcoin assets with Tron eco. You can use the bridge to bridge ordinals, BRC20, RUNES token from Bitcoin L1 to Tron blockchain
How I built it
Using lock and mint, burn and unlock model to build the bridge, we built a plug in indexer modular to connect with Bitcoin core for the on-chain data communication
Challenges I ran into
The smart contract on Tron is not fully compatible with EVM smart contract, we need to rewrite it.
What's next for Corridor Finance, unleash 1 trillion Bitcoin MCP to Tron!
Bring more Bitcoin assets on Tron and make it accessible for Tron users.
