Inspiration –

Corporate events are an integral part of corporate life and play a very important role in enhancing skills, abilities and competency level of employees. However, there is one problem that all of us have faced or observed when we participate in these events. A huge number of events are organized by corporates regularly, but there is no secure platform where they can let interested participants know about their events. For the employees, there is no central space where one can go and search or register for corporate events organized by different companies. Corporate Event bridges this gap and makes organizing and registering for corporate events very easy.

What it does –

We are embracing technology-enabled change by integrating the physical and digital experiences of corporate events and how they are organized/publicized.

Main Features -

Corporate Event is a portal where an employee can search and register for events organized by corporates such as - Sports, CSR, Seminars, Conferences etc.
A user can log in and look up any event he wants to participate in and register for it by just entering his details, within a minute.
Users can register for events organized by their own company or any other company (as permitted).
A corporate entity can create and schedule events which will be visible to users, and they can also see all the participants who have registered for the event.

Why is it unique?

Benefits corporates by providing the ability to create, track, and manage events easily and securely.
It provides a simple way to publish and advertise corporate events.
An employee/user has a one-stop platform where they can access information about any corporate event by simply searching for it.
A user can also register for the event they are interested in within a few seconds.

How we built it –

Using the technologies - AngularJS, Node.js, HTML5, CSS

Challenges we ran into –

Apart from basic technical challenges faced during the idea implementation, the experience of working and coordinating with a team who are all working from home, and also managing to work according to everyone’s separate schedules was a challenge we faced initially, but thanks to all of our team members’ enthusiasm, we overcame it very soon.

Accomplishments that we're proud of –

At the beginning of idea implementation, most of our team was new to the technologies we would be using and had very little experience working on them. Despite that, we picked up the knowledge required quite quickly and successfully implemented our idea.

What we learned -

It is possible to create simple solutions for seemingly complex situations by analyzing the needs and requirements well, and bridging the gap via technology where needed.

What's next for Corporate Event -

In our next version, we are planning to implement the below features –

Provide event organizers the ability to export/download all participant data for an event they have organized
Email verification using corporate email ID during Sign Up to make the platform more secure
