Inspiration

We identified a major gap in financial and legal clarity for everyday people and set out to make complex agreements understandable.

What it does

Corpo translates contracts, leases, and financial agreements into plain English, highlights green/yellow/red flags, assigns a predatory risk score, and helps users understand the true financial impact before they sign.

How we built it

Corpo was built using React for the frontend, Python for the backend, and Recharts for data visualization, powered by the Gemini API for document analysis and reasoning.

Challenges we ran into

Prompt engineering was the most challenging aspect—ensuring consistent, structured, and accurate outputs from the AI required significant iteration and refinement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a functional, real-world tool that solves a meaningful problem, delivering clear insights from complex documents within a short hackathon timeframe.

What we learned

We gained a deeper understanding of prompt engineering, structuring AI outputs, and integrating AI into a practical, user-focused application.

What's next for Corpo: Corporate Translator

We plan to expand Corpo into a production-ready platform with user accounts, persistent report storage, more advanced financial modeling, and improved AI accuracy for real-world deployment.
