Inspiration

My inspiration comes from the dog days of working in an office setting. The mundanity of the everyday 9-5 routine and the desire for something more.

What it does

CORPLAND takes the ordinary world of office life into something surreal, epic, and cinematic. It shows thousands of workers, each lost in their own busy tasks, until the sheer scale of their labor turns into a storm of chaos. The film is not just about showing work pressure, it reframes them as a kind of surreal theater. The film turns spreadsheets into landscapes, meetings into rituals, and cubicles into collapsing architecture. It captures both the horror and the beauty of how work consumes us.

How we built it

The film was built all with ai tools. From brainstorming sessions with ChatGPT and Google Gemini. To create the base image with Midjourney and fine-tune it with Topaz Bloom. Then, processing the videos with Sora and Luma Ray3. With the audio, it was created with the Elevenlabs Studio and Mirole ai. Then assembling the film with audio and upscaling with Topaz Astra.

Challenges we ran into

Most of the challenges were simply the waiting time and fine-tuning the workflow. Making sure I was using my time wisely and not just waiting around. With any new technology model, I feel this is expected and requires some patience and understanding that not everything will go your way. However, that's part of the fun of experimenting with new technology.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of completing the film and fine-tuning the workflow and expectations with each AI model.

What we learned

I learned a lot more about the capabilities of all the video AI generative tools. They are extremely powerful tools, and they allow us to open endless worlds, ideas, visuals, and beyond, as long as we seek and dig deeper. It's been an amazing exercise of pushing the boundaries of our creative consciousness.

What's next for Corpland

I would like to continue the story of Corpland through different visual styles. I feel the premise is very relatable, and I hope to continue with the format.
