Inspiration

Coronavirus pandemic 2020 is the biggest challenge humans have faced in this generation. Everything has come to a still. The hospitals have been overloaded and things have started imploding. This inspired me to come to help out the society by lessening the burden on the medical experts by pre-screening people through their reported symptoms

What it does

The messenger asks people about their symptoms and then recommends them if it is wise to contact the medical experts. This takes into consideration the different symptoms already reported by affected people around the world.

How I built it

I used Node, express and Javascript to build the framework of the chat app which is hosted on the Facebook messenger platform.

Challenges I ran into

Finding enough credible information to put together this app. The initial challenges to writing code were alleviated through well-written docs by the Facebook team. Finally, deploying and getting the app up and running on Heroku was the final hurdle.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud of setting up a socially useful app, especially so in such a grave and dark time for our humanity. I hope people will use this as a tool to make an informed decision.
