Inspiration

We wanted to create a project that we would have fun doing. Both of us were excited about the prospect of creating a game, and we decided to make it Covid themed based on everything that has been going on.

What it does

It is a Covid themed game that the user can play. The user starts in a laboratory and navigates their way through a small map, with the end goal being to deliver vaccines to a nursing home. The user navigates their way through a map, collecting the necessary objects as they go along.

How I built it

We created it in Anaconda using python and using dictionaries as the basis for the game.

Challenges I ran into

There was a stage in the process where our code wasn't running. We kept trying to debug but we could not figure out what was wrong with the code. It was a little bit difficult to combine two different styles of coding together, and we had to work out a lot of bugs to successfully integrate our styles.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We're proud that we managed to successfully debug our code to get the game to work. We wanted to submit a finished product, and it was a frustrating process, but we eventually figured it out.

What I learned

We learned how to code with another person, which was something that we had not done before in classes. Additionally, we learned more about the process of debugging.

What's next for CoronAdventure

We're hoping to expand the game to include more locations and more actions that the player can take. Eventually, we hope to create a website for it.
