What it does
The website reminds us that Corona Hard Lite Seltzer stays strong as a brand in inciting individuals to drink responsibly while relaxing and having a good time. It also offers true testimonials of how meaningful the Corona brand name is to everyday citizens. Furthermore, the website provides resources to learn the location of a Corona facility as well as links to various parts of Corona’s webpages.
How we built it
We used the application “Figma” as a template for the project. Then used Windows Paint software to attempt to edit a picture of a current Corona Beer Hard Lite Seltzer product. We then transferred to PIXLR to edit existing pictures of corona hard lite beer to match a new flavor. After that, by using HTML, SCSS, and CSS via VSCode we created a website that advertises the product. Furthermore, to look over server updates, we used the VSCode extensions Live Server and Live Sass.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into CSS difficulties in trying to implement a Holy-Grail layout, instead of using a Pancake layout (was later changed). Also, there was difficulty with embedding the functional gif onto the homepage without the gif becoming a hyperlink.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are both proud of spending our time diligently in our first ever hackathon.
We also found a good gif for the website.
We are proud to learn to set the margins to zero to improve the layout.
Also, we learned via online tutorials how to develop a website using both HTML and CSS for the first time.
What we learned
Good time management with sleep, exercise, and eating habits throughout this stressful time.
Basically everything we put into the website via HTML and CSS.
How resourceful Figma is in determining the layout necessary for CSS implementation later.
What's next for Corona Hard Lite Seltzer (Tropical Grape)
Since the Superbowl commercial with Snoop Dog drinking a Corona beer was so popular, having Snoop do a follow up commercial with this new product is essential in further establishing safe drinking practices with a target audience of responsible drinkers, as well as establishing a new culture for Corona Drinks of having very prominent celebrities advertise their drinks.
