Inspiration
Inspired by experiencing the struggles faced during the COVID Pandemic and how we are able to overcome the CoronaVirus
What it does
This is a single-player video game. This game can be used as a fun and playful learning experience for children to be safe during a pandemic like COVID.
How we built it
This game is built using block programming from scratch.mit.edu.
Challenges we ran into
- There was no default image of the mask, so I had to draw the mask.
- It was challenging to make PICO invisible and not lose a life when he was hit by a virus while wearing the mask.
- Challenges faced making sure the COVID block doesn't move in level3 when I had to make a scene where scientists are developing the vaccine.
- It was challenging to upload an Animation of the scientists developing the vaccine.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Proud of creating my first game ever.
- Proud that this game can be used as an educational material to teach children to stay safe is most important.
What we learned
- Learned how to create games and had a nice introduction to coding.
What's next for Corona Dodger - A Single Player Game
I plan to create more educational games and enhance the Corona Dodger by adding more levels.
