Inspiration
While half of the world population is in quarantine, it's become more important than ever to have a thermometer in your house.
What it does
One of the main symptoms of the coronavirus is a high fever, so you'll want to monitor body temperature if you or someone you care for starts to feel ill. All temperature data is automatically stored into the and shared online in your Quarantine profile. Alternatively you can share with your friends and family as well in order to restore trust.
How I built it
On the thermometer while temperature is normal and presence is detected then we show a green light. Other colors are changed based on temperature color codes. If temperature is too high then sound alert is on and lights become flashy red. You can follow CoroFence tutorial if you want to build it yourself.
Alternatively you can also pot manually temperature values in web-form or connect your own thermometer via DasData platform.
The data stream is read via API into web-interface, user can check online on their PC or using their mobile devices.
Challenges I ran into
Thermal camera sensor is not accurate enough so adjustments must be made
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Finally build room presence smart lights with more functionality based on thermal camera.
What I learned
ThermalCamera Panasonic GridEye is having a bit of error margin error while measuring body temperature therefore currently I'm updating on a bigger resolution 24x32 array of IR thermal sensors with Adafruit MLX90640
What's next for Queck - Quarantine Check
Multiple profiles, so wireless temperature measurement can more people with one device.
