Inspiration

We were inspired by the need for a simple yet powerful tool that helps users manage both fitness and nutrition in one place. Most people struggle to stay consistent with their health goals because they have to use multiple apps for workouts, food tracking, and progress monitoring. With the growing potential of AI, we saw an opportunity to build a smarter solution that could guide users holistically—making it easier to form healthy habits and stick with them.

What it does

CorefitAI is a web-based health companion that helps users:

  • Log daily workouts and track physical activity
  • Record meals and automatically calculate calories
  • Receive personalized AI-driven suggestions for workouts and nutrition
  • Track progress over time with structured feedback and data summaries

==The goal is to provide an all-in-one, intelligent platform== to support users in achieving their wellness goals—without the need for multiple tools.


How we built it

We used the following technologies:

  • React.js for building the frontend interface
  • Supabase for user authentication and database storage
  • OpenAI and Gemini API to generate personalized fitness and meal suggestions

Focusing on modular components and global state management helped keep the app fast and scalable.


Challenges we ran into

  1. Syncing workout and meal data under one user profile
  2. Ensuring secure authentication and fast querying with Supabase
  3. Making AI-generated outputs helpful, safe, and personalized
  4. Designing a simple but complete UI that works across devices
