Inspiration
The inspiration for this project stems from our fascination with role-playing games, law enforcement, and rebellion, and we wanted to craft an engaging adventure where players can take on theses thrilling roles as cops or robbers.
What it does
This game allows players to compete in a snowy environment where cops on duty, must patrol the streets, rank up, issues parking tickets and capture robbers, who must avoid detection by security cameras, outrun the corrupt patrol officer's car, evade other officer players, and gather items and curacy to complete the main candy heist.
How we built it
'Cops and Robbers Snow Day' was meticulously crafted, piece by piece, with engaging mechanics that bring the game to life. Utilizing AI-generated items, assets, and textures enhanced the overall visual experience and gameplay. Additionally, strategies were devised to maintain player engagement throughout the game. This project showcases a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and innovative use of technology like Unity, Blender, TypeScript, Meta AI, GIMP, resulting in an immersive gaming environment where cops compete against robbers amidst snowy streets.
Challenges we ran into
During the creation of 'Cops and Robbers Snow Day', we encountered challenges with game mechanics, multiplayer balance, performance, rank progression, and controls, and also had to devise strategies to maintain player engagement throughout the game.
