Inspiration
When planning a trip with your friends, the main purpose is to have fun but making a decision on where to go or what to do can be difficult or overwhelming as everyone can have different preferences. This application tries to include all the different tastes and merges them all to guarantee everyone has fun with a dinamic process.
What it does
In this application you must create a group with your friends. The purpose is to tell the application which are your preferences so it can search the best place to keep everyone comfortable. Nevertheless, there can be some conflict between selections. This will be solved in a minigame which is Flappy Bird. The weight of the selections on the results will depend on who makes more points. At the end, it gives the destination that shapes best with everyone's requeriments.
How we built it
The CopperScanner project is a collaborative trip planning web application built using Next.js, React, Socket.IO, and Tailwind CSS. This code includes: room ranagement, real-time communication, minigame integration and customizable preferences.
Challenges we ran into
We finally couldn't implement the LLM to suggest a destination more precisely
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of having a public webpage that supports a minigame and interacts in an organic way with different users at the same time. Using the API's has also been a great accomplishment we can be proud of.
What we learned
We've learnt how an API works and how to work with them. We've also learnt how a LLM model works.
What's next for CopperScanner
It can be more generalized for more users at the same time and have a better criteria and have a better algorithm to make a decision at the final moment calculating the weights.
