Inspiration

I was wondering what it would feel like if Alexa could read my mind ... It turns out that with the magic of binary notation we can create this perception. Let Alexa tell you what you're thinking about ... "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic", Arthur C. Clarke.

What it does

Alexa asks Yes and No questions to identify a number you are thinking about.

How I built it

Lambda and PHP.

The story of Copernicus

My star ship Firefly Tycho is badly damaged. We crash-landed on the Moon. Our computer was invaded by digital bugs. The crash left a large crater in the surface of the Moon and we called it Tycho. Because of our advanced time travel technology this name may already be on your Lunar map. Please, find a picture of the Moon, or look at it with binoculars. The biggest crater is the one we created with our landing. We need your help to unlock our command center. Digital bugs are working against us. The only device that is still operational is this small communication part with a blue circle light. We can just speak to it. About a year ago, during our previous visit, we left one of our communication devices on the Earth with Jeff, from the River company. He promised to make many copies and send them to many human homes. We are glad you figured out how to operate one of those devices. You are our only hope.

What's next for Copernicus Lunar Rescue

The skill currently has 3 levels: basic, boss level, and super boss. A new level is in development for numbers between 1 and 64. Copernicus will ask 6 questions to identify your number. Additional exploration of knowledge of the Moon will be included.
