Inspiration

Our inspiration for CoPath stems from the challenges faced by high school students in making informed decisions about college and majors. We aimed to bridge the information gap and empower students with a comprehensive resource beyond traditional methods.

What it does

CoPath is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide personalized insights and guidance on college choices, majors, and career paths. Minty, our chatbox, pulls real-time data from local sources, creating a dynamic platform for students to explore educational and professional avenues.

How we built it

Minty code is composed of three different sections that need to be combined for the successful running of Minty. The first part includes a front-end section that designs an interactive wireframe for students to connect with Minty. The second section is a dataset collection of code that allows Minty to gather information from reliable sources to help students choose the college that fits their ambitions the best. Lastly, has encoded Open AI, giving students a personal and unique experience when talking to Minty.

We learned how to use new features like OpenAI and experimented with coding languages like HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python.

CoPath aims to expand Minty's capabilities with more real-time data sources, forge partnerships with local businesses and organizations for opportunities such as internships, and externships, and remain a transformative force in education.
