Inspiration
Today's climatic situation is making the city live less and and less enjoyable for urban population. Pollution, noise and heat are three main problems that urban population in warm weather countries are suffering from. Sydney has experienced the three hotter years in a row in its recoded history. Moreover heat has been the first cause of death form natural hazards since 1900 with an increasing amount of the population at threat.
Furthermore 17-20% of Sydney roofs are suitable for productive green production.
Finally companies are dealing with a current sharp increase in energy cost that can be reduced by implementing mixed green roof/ solar energy solutions. Inspired with nature, as to mimic the cycle ecosystems create to improve the environment for all the species they host, we want to reconnect nature and cities and bring back energy production, reduction of air pollution and noise and food production back in the city space.
What it does
Our solutions provides the manufacturing companies with modular solution to address their energy cost related to air-conditioning and to maximise the value of otherwise unused space. In the process it provides the company with enjoyable outside areas to be used by its employee, it purifies the ambient air and support ecological services.
How we built it
Our main focus has been to be the better aligned possible to our potential customer. We have undertaken many interviews of both manufacturing building owners and employees to gain an in depth insight of their needs. We have created an user profile and have customised our solution to meet their needs while reaching our ecological and financial goals. We have conceptually created a calculator that optimises the cost and energy efficiency of our solutions to better meet the specific need of every customer.
