I was inspired to create CookSnap after often wasting food due to not knowing what to cook with available ingredients. Watching AI tools like chatbots suggest solutions motivated me to build a recipe finder. I learned about structuring data and user input validation during development. I built it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, integrating a basic AI logic to match ingredients to recipes. Challenges included handling varied user inputs and ensuring fast search results, which I addressed through regex filtering and performance tweaks.
