Inspiration
Company cookouts can be complicated. With everyone trying to coordinate different dishes, utensils and serving plates, what started out as a well-intentioned communal gathering has turned into a stressful mess. Group Chats can be disorganized and text messages can be hard to keep track of and updating an email list is inefficient.
What it does
On our website, employees will be able to login and post publicly what they will be bringing and see if anyone else is bringing the same. For each event, the host of the cookout can post certain items that need to be filled, such as main dishes and serving platters.
How we built it
We built it using Flask and bootstrap and tried to use Cockroach DB but instead used SQL Alchemy.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating cockroachDB into flask.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting a good looking front page.
What we learned
We learned that database management is harder than we thought.
