Our "cookbook" would originally display simple graphics to give an overview of the process.
-
There are many steps to making scrambled eggs, some that require more explanation than others
-
We attached video instructions for each of the detailed steps.

More video instructions
-
If someone is confused by a particular step, they are able to scan this image and access the video instructions in AR
-
Here is what the extra video on top of the instructions would look like
-
One would be able to scan the QR on the top to access AR functionalities, and then scan specific steps on paper.

The QR code to access AR functionalities; then capture the image above (labeled 3. Beat egg) to access video.
Inspiration
We understand that the new generation has little knowledge on how to cook basic meals.
What it does
This project displays simple instructions and graphics that can be clarified through AR. If the user is confused by specifics, they can scan the image for the step and watch a short video instruction.
How I built it
We used EchoAR and connected various videos with custom created graphics to give detailed instructions on how to cook scrambled eggs
Challenges I ran into
Since EchoAR and augmented reality technology is in the early stages of development, navigating the website and documentation was a challenge.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We really enjoyed the scrambled eggs we made. They were delicious. Also, being able to create an augmented reality application was a very exciting and unique experience.
What I learned
We learned how to come up with ways that augmented reality could be more helpful and interactive.
What's next for Cooking with AR (CARE)
We believe that this project can be expanded in the future to assist in creating other meals, furniture or other products that require step-by-step instructions.
