Inspiration came for our passion for cooking.
What it does
Cookify takes in a list of ingredients and scrapes the web for the best recipes to make.
How we built it
We designed a web scraper in Python to find recipes that matched the list of ingredients the user input via HTML site.
Challenges we ran into
Front-end to back-end framework in Python.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successful web-scraping tool, beautiful UI and webpage
What we learned
Learned how to use BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Flask libraries in Python. Learned some javascript and HTML as well.
What's next for Cookify
Achieve full front-end to back-end integration and hopefully increase the amount of data scraped.
