CookieWise

Inspiration

What are cookies, and why does every website ask us to accept theirs? Living in a datafied world, our data has become more sacred than ever. We created a google extension so that we can easily manage our cookies and know what these websites are truly collecting from us.

What it does

Our google extension categorizes the cookies from a website to know how alarming they may be. They give us a short summary to what the specific cookie. We can then easily remove them or keep them.

How we built it

Our program is built from typescript.

Challenges we ran into

API keys were needed but we used a cheap version which made it run slow.
