Inspiration
I also suffer from having recipes in many different places and never actually knowing where anything is so this is something that actually helps me a lot in real life
What it does
You can import recipes from online websites, youtube videos or scan an actual physical recipe from a cookbook. This ensures you have everything in one place. You can also track what you've eaten and plan recipes for the future and be reminded of them A bit of gamification was also added to try to captivate the user
How we built it
It was built using Android Studio and Kotlin and Firebase for authentication and remote api's Gemini was also used to perform some of the transformations needed
Challenges we ran into
With real life getting in the way not enough time to implement everything I wanted and AI also has a bit of it's own mind sometimes. Not being a designer, the designs sometimes weren't what I envisioned
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's a very usefull MVP at it's current state and I've actually used it in my own life
What we learned
The recipes world is very big and there is so much more to do and improve
