Inspiration: Sitting in a circle, hungry, we noticed that many people don't know what to make or what to eat when they are hungry.
What it does: This app presents various recipes for different types of food. Whatever the user is ready to eat, they have a list of foods to choose from.
How we built it: Using MIT App Inventor, we were able to use building blocks to our advantage, which allowed us to add categories and buttons with ease. This allowed us to create our app called Cook It!
Challenges we ran into: A challenge we faced had been near the end of development, when we had finished separate pieces of the app. We were unable to combine the app; this lead to us taking another month to redo the app on one computer.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We finished the app in time, and had been able to deliver it to you.
What we learned: App Inventor is an extremely user-friendly program that deals with building blocks and simple commands. This helped us greatly in our pursuit to build a great recipe app.
What's next for Cook It!: We look to further expand Cook It!, and we hope to add more recipes to the app which will help us increase variety and diversity between each dish.
