Inspiration

This summer when travelling abroad, we faced a common frustration while converting currencies. It was a giant hassle and really inconvenient to have to google everything each time. Additionally, we wanted to create a tool that would help immigrants / newcomers to any country be able to integrate into society with ease.

What it does

This app both allows users to convert currencies manually as well as by scanning price tags on the go.

How we built it

Using Python's streamlist and tesseract libraries.

Accomplishing real-time scanning on the app.
