Inspiration Businesses, specifically contracting / construction businesses, lose a majority of their revenue due to delays in the field. Conventus allows you to quickly get back on track with an organized communication channel between contractors and field workers. This way, companies avoid the costs related to project deadline delays and strengthen the communication between the contractor and the field worker.

What it does Conventus is a browser based organization system that checks and sorts emails that relate to any construction project. It works by finding key words in the email including deadline, cost, and issue and sorts it on a digital calendar that sorts it by priority. From there, the general contractor is able to read the summary and edit a pre-made reply to send back to the field as soon as possible.

How we built it The first stage of the process is the issue. The field workers can quickly send an email (with a picture if they wish) to the general contractor, and from there it is interpreted by an ai agent who then organizes it and stores it in a database. Then, the general contractor’s account is updated with the new information, summarized by the agent. The general contractor is then able to read the summary and key points and edit a pre-made response to send back to the field.

Challenges we ran into Allowing an API to read the emails, organize it, and store it to display to the general contractor. We had no prior experience with using an API in this way and it was a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Successfully building a functional prototype that bridges the communication gap between field workers and general contractors using AI-driven email summaries and automated priority scheduling.

What we learned From this project, we learned how to properly connect, protect, and utilize API keys.

What's next for Conventus Expanding API integrations, enhancing the AI agent's categorization capabilities, and adding real-time push notifications for urgent field issues.
