Inspiration
We were inspired to do this by our lack of ability to truly pay attention in school after long nights of homework and our absurd amount of anxiety before exams.
What it does
Our product provides two easy, simplistic brain games to warm up a student’s coordination and memory skills before class and a heart activity to relieve a student's anxiety.
How we built it
We used sublime to code the UI using HTML and CSS and the functionality using JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
It was challenging to design the webpage, as my partner and I are rather inexperienced in HTML. We visited some instructional websites, watched some tutorials on Youtube and used basic HTML commands to design our user interface.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
My partner and I are proud that we were successfully able to code our first website using HTML and JavaScript and attend our very first hackathon.
What we learned
While coding this website, my partner and I learned more about designing websites in HTML, embedding JavaScript into it, and using our limited time to complete tasks efficiently. We also learned a lot more of the set commands of JavaScript.
What's next for Controlling the Kokoro(Here)
We would like to make ‘Controlling the Kokoro’ an app so it can be more accessible and efficient for students. We would also like to add levels of difficulty for the brain games.
