🌟 Inspiration

Healthcare is one of the biggest challenges in India and across the world. People often delay treatment due to long waiting times, lack of access, or high consultation costs. Many turn to Google searches, which leads to confusion instead of clarity. We were inspired to build Doctor AI — an AI-powered health companion that provides instant, reliable, and safe medical guidance while also connecting users to real doctors in Pune.

🤖 What it does

Doctor AI acts as a smart health assistant:

Accepts voice/text symptom inputs from users.

Provides personalized AI-driven health suggestions with severity scoring.

Recommends specialists in Pune with their names, clinic addresses, fees, and availability.

Supports direct booking or WhatsApp connect with doctors.

Gives emergency alerts if symptoms indicate a critical case.

Provides preventive care tips and a user health history dashboard.

🛠️ How we built it

Frontend: React.js + TailwindCSS for chatbot-style UI and responsive design.

Backend: Node.js + Express APIs with MongoDB for storing user history & doctor database.

AI Engine: GPT-based LLM with carefully engineered prompts to handle symptom analysis (fever, cough, headache, etc.).

Doctor Integration: Verified dataset of Pune doctors with specializations (MD, MBBS, General Physician, Pediatrician, etc.). ​

⚡ Challenges we ran into

Ensuring accuracy while keeping responses safe and non-diagnostic.

Gathering authentic doctor data and keeping it updated.

Making the AI clinically relevant with prompt fine-tuning.

Building a complete MVP under hackathon time constraints.

Designing an interface that was both medical-grade and user-friendly.

Designed a trustworthy AI flow that balances guidance + human doctor consultation.
