Inspiration

Many people don’t like buying clothes online because of many problems:

The standard numerical sizes 2, 8, 14, etc. reveal almost nothing about how the garment will actually fit.
There are no platforms with multiple brands which provide customization.
It is hard to maintain the quality of all the products when there are multiple sellers on one platform.
Many questions remain unanswered when a buyer makes a buying decision which decreases sales and sometimes results in a bad experience.
There is not a single platform where we can find anything we want when it comes to buying clothes.

What it does

Contrive has an option of adding measurements so that the buyer doesn't have to choose a size for themselves and get confused. The seller can provide well-fitted clothes with its help.
Contrive provides basic customization according to what the seller can provide.
For quality assurance, contrive provides reviews and ratings for sellers as well, which will be the aggregate of the ratings of all the products the seller has on the platform. So that sellers will not compromise even with one product as it will affect their overall rating.
To remove all the queries from the buyer’s mind, contrive has an option of chat with sellers.
Contrive is for freelance fashion designers. Buyers can get anything they want.

How we built it

We designed it using Figma.

Challenges we ran into

Quality assurance was difficult for platforms with multiple sellers. It was challenging to do everything in 36 hours.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to design an app with multiple features in 36 hours even with a small team. There are a lot of e-commerce platforms but with the same features and they don’t solve a lot of problems. We were able to solve a lot of problems. The app will help people practice body positivity as everybody is beautiful.

What we learned

We learned a lot more about UX and aesthetics in an app through this project. We constantly tried to make the app more accessible, usable, and joyful.
