Inspiration:- Film continuity mistakes can lead to expensive reshoots. We wanted to build an AI system that could catch problems before they reach the final cut.
What it does:- Continuity Guardian uses multiple AI agents to analyze screenplays, scenes, and video takes, detect continuity issues, identify production risks, and help filmmakers decide whether a scene is ready to lock.
How we built it:- We built it using Python, FastAPI, JavaScript, and Google Gemini, with specialized agents for script analysis, continuity, budget, production, performance, accessibility, and previsualization.
Challenges we ran into:- Our biggest challenges were AI API quota limits, video processing and playback, and coordinating multiple agents reliably.
Accomplishments that we're proud of:- We built a working multi-agent filmmaking workflow where AI findings can trigger real actions, such as continuity flags, notifications, and scene-lock restrictions.
What we learned:- We learned that effective agentic AI is not just about using more AI—it requires good orchestration, shared state, deterministic rules, and reliable workflows.
What's next for Continuity Guardian:- We plan to build a Film Digital Twin with what-if simulations, intelligent scheduling, location optimization, stronger continuity memory, and more autonomous production decision-making.
