Inspiration
I started studying German and since you needed to go to all different tabs to translate, it was annoying. So I made my own.
What it does
You can translates based on context You can translate via OCR if you need something that is not selectable You can live-translate streams or anything that does not have subtitles integrated You can swap the original typed language into whatever you choose. For example: Hello, this is a test into 你好,这是一个测试 in the very same tab, in not even a second.
How we built it
I think I started with Fable and then used Codex for most of the project.
Challenges we ran into
UX/UI, since im kind of a beginner and mostly bugs. Not much though.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I can stay talk with someone that speaks any language at all that I don't speak a single word, without leaving my tab.
What we learned
That AI has advanced so much, anyone can build without knowing much code. This was a major problem for me because I love solving problems but I didn't know how to code.
What's next for Contextualogy
Im thinking on making it a mobile app, see what could be integrated there. It didn't make sense at first but the live-translation might be a good idea for mobile. And also adding Sign language if possible.
