Inspiration
I wanted an app that helps me track stuffs in my mind, in a way that doesn't keep me endlessly writing and scribbling in the Apple Notes app. I found two-column notetaking (similar to "Cornell method") to be very effective as you established constraint (in the first column) before writing out your content (the second column). Combine it with digital searchability, and you will have a great organizer for your scattered and multi-layer thoughts. No one seems to commercialize it, so here I am with Context!
What it does
Context is a very simple note taking/tracker app that organized itself into two-column - "Cue" and "Fact". You put things there - multiple formats are supported, like phrases, notes, countdown, and counter - and it will be searchable the moment you need it.
How we built it
I one-shot the prompt to Bolt based on requirements and features that I envision it will do.
Challenges we ran into
The only roadblock is Supabase database seeding - I just clicked "Attempt Fix" and it resolves itself. Hope that doesn't count as another prompt!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's pretty amazing how a full app - with backend integration - can be deployed in just a single prompt.
What we learned
Defining requirements properly are the MOST important part to establish direction and strategic outcome of a vibe-coding journey.
What's next for Context
I wanted to improve its interface to be more minimal and straightforward, eliminating redundant whitespaces and allowing users to focus on note at hand. The app might go into monetization by getting user to pay a one-off fee to unlock unlimited "Contexts", or notes.
