Objective Developing an agent that performs real-time emotional interactions based on standardized variables called “situations,” ensuring authentic engagement with users.

Hackathon Product A role-playing simulation for relationship-building that requires no specialized domain knowledge.

Why Role-Playing? We aimed to focus on the Power of Voice. The voice is a “window to emotions.” The dynamic nature of voices, which change depending on emotional interactions, enhances immersion for role-playing participants, allowing them to deeply engage in the experience.

Where is the Business Opportunity? “Assessment Center” – Our primary target is the HR domain, specifically the Assessment Center methodology. This is a globally recognized method for evaluating leadership potential in lead-level personnel, where candidates are placed in various real-world scenarios to assess their ability to lead. Traditionally, these assessments rely heavily on human involvement, with professors or experts playing specific roles in one-on-one role-playing exercises and conducting evaluations afterward. Since this process is highly labor-intensive, there is a significant opportunity to dramatically improve efficiency. Our interactive agent, designed to assess candidates not just through scripted scenarios but through emotionally dynamic interactions, can be a game-changer in this field.

Broader Impact Business Impact → “Extensive Scalability” Social Impact → “Restoring Lost Human Connection” Our easy-to-set-up role-playing tool has the potential to expand across multiple domains. If it proves its value as a PoC (Proof of Concept) in Assessment Centers, it can scale into education, a much larger industry sector. Ultimately, forming emotional connections is key to maximizing user demand for Voice UX (VUX). This insight comes from our experience developing shopping assistant chatbots—simply providing information is not enough to drive retention. Moreover, in today’s society, where emotional interactions are increasingly rare and people are less accustomed to forming real human-to-human relationships, our tool can serve as a training mechanism. It can help users intuitively understand the complexity of social interactions, including the importance of consideration and empathy.
