This project is for the Education Track.

Inspired by a desired to read more and keep up with the technologies that are constantly evolving.

What it does

The project allows users to add posts to the community where other users and friends can see and save the resources to read/watch.

How we built it

For the frontend of the app, we used React and a framework called Material UI to add repeatable components to our layout. For instance, we incorporated a "card" component so that each article displays a title, image, and description. We also added a filters button that lets the user choose from a list of tags for all of their items to be categorized as.

Challenges we ran into

As we are relatively new to web development, we took time to learn how to do both backend and frontend. Deciding on a framework and UI to use took some time, and connecting the two was also a challenge. With the time constraint, we were unable to implement all the features we intended to.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to be able to create a full-stack web application. Although not fully functional, we just need to do a few more things to make it functional.

What we learned

We learned how to use MongoDB, Material UI, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Figma in a way that made them all come together.

What's next for Content Compiler

Ideally we had wanted to implement a sign in feature where people could log in with their social media accounts (e.g Facebook, Instagram) and/or their Google account to make logging in more accessible on the user.
