Inspiration

While we were walking home after the HackCMU opening ceremony and dinner, we were trying to guess the constellations we were seeing. It was then we though, it would be perfect if we had a geolocation and real-time website to tell us know what we were seeing. From there, Constellation MART.

How we built it

GPT3 Integration (We used OpenAI’s python API to generate times and constellations.), HTML, CSS, JSS (We used these frontend languages to create UI, multiple pages, and unhackable pages.), Netlify (We used Netlify to build, deploy, and scale serverless backend services.)

Challenges we ran into

Debugging problems with the backend: responses wouldn’t generate on the page, and we kept getting axios post errors with the Chat GPT "gpt-3.5-turbo" open AI. Additionally, formatting images of the constellation on the website was time consuming.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the frontend working, and having a properly working website in both mobile and desktop view.

What we learned

Implementing and learning how a website works, and assigning team roles based on strengths to bring the best results possible
