Inspiration

By choosing problem statement 3, our platform is motivated by the fact that many students face struggles when trying to navigate their tech career paths. While many young techies struggle to find their footing, the increasing prevalence of job scams hinder them from advancing.

The current job search platforms have limitations that can make the job search process more difficult. One major issue is the lack of verification credentials on these platforms. Many platforms do not have any endorsement systems or those which do have are not user-friendly. Additionally, while some platforms offer the ability to build tech communities, the connections among members are often limited. For example, it can be challenging for new job seekers to schedule a consultation session with experienced professionals or experts in a specific field

Taking advantage of blockchain, we decide to build ConnTech, a secure, effective and user-friendly job-search platform for our like-minded techies.

What it does

User friendly interface where applicants have verified and customizable profile. A verified and optimized human resource platform with proof-of-concept blockchain technology. A online knowledge-sharing platform that fosters the sharing of career guidance and educational experiences in a safe and convenient manners

How we built it

The front-end and back-end of our project is written in javascript (ReactJS and NodeJS) and CSS (Tailwind). We use MySQL to work with the database. The proof-of-concept blockchain technology is powered by Affinidi.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have put forth our greatest effort into this project, dedicating all of our time and energy to ensure its success. We have spent 24 hours, without a moment of rest, working tirelessly to complete every aspect of the project from scratch while also acquiring new knowledge and skills along the way. We are committed to delivering the best possible outcome.

What we learned

In just around 48 hours, we have acquired a great deal of knowledge. Our team engaged in numerous conversations and efforts to deliver the best outcome possible. Despite encountering challenges and obstacles, we persevered and never wavered in our decision. Ultimately, we have no regrets as the valuable lessons learned, teamwork, and successful outcome far outweigh any difficulties

What's next for ConnTech Platform

The future of ConnTech holds several exciting developments. First, we plan to launch a mobile application for ConnTech. Secondly, we aim to implement Artificial Intelligence technology to improve the verification process. Additionally, we plan to introduce recommendation algorithms to assist students in identifying the career track that best suits them. Lastly, we will partner with programming platforms to enhance the credibility of ConnTech
