Inspiration

All members of our group are all from various different backgrounds, all of which have their own respective languages. We felt when learning languages, there were barriers to learning the natural dialect/ casual way of speaking in other language learning apps/ ways.

What it does

ConnexUs is an Omegle-style language exchange platform that connects people who want to learn each other’s languages. Users select the language they speak and the language they want to learn, then get paired with a partner who has the opposite preference.

Once connected, our users can video chat and text chat in real time. A built-in AI translator helps with instant understanding, and an AI grammar checker provides corrective feedback to improve accuracy and fluency.

ConnexUs makes language learning interactive, social, and practical by turning every conversation into a real-world learning exchange.
