Our goal is to support and connect minority women in STEM at Tech. After taking the personality test you are assigned historical women in STEM! Our website for this quiz is run on CSS, Html etc.

Connect Violet

Our team is all women of color, and almost immediately we decided on trying to solve an issue that affected us and other minority women. We narrowed down our scope to Virginia Tech and how we could aim for an issue on campus. We decided on creating a website as well as a community discord server for minority women at Tech that are in STEM. We created a website using Replit, which is a browser IDE, and used Javascript, CSS, and HTML to create a functioning website. Some difficulties that we encountered were: trying to use Flask to make our general website, but it didn't work, The connection between html and Javascript wasn't working, there were some syntax errors that didn't show up until later, and we also failed to use python as our backend. However, once we identified our problem, we changed from using python to Javascript for the backend and used Replit instead of Flask as our browser. If we had more time to work; we’d want to add the image of your personality type woman in STEM when your results come out, we’d also like to make the backend code more concise.
